We Give A FAQ

1. Do you install verandas and pergolas across all of Cambridgeshire?
Yes. We cover the whole of Cambridgeshire including Huntingdon, Cambridge, St Ives, St Neots, Ely, March and surrounding villages, providing full installation services for verandas, pergolas, awnings and outdoor structures.

2. How long does a veranda or pergola installation take?
Most verandas can be installed in 1–2 days, while bioclimatic pergolas typically take 2–3 days depending on size, groundworks and custom features such as lighting or sliding glass doors.

3. Do you provide free surveys in Cambridgeshire?
Yes. We offer free site surveys across Cambridgeshire and nearby counties. During the visit we assess your space, discuss options, provide advice and prepare an accurate, transparent quotation.

4. Are your products suitable for the UK weather?
Absolutely. Our verandas, pergolas and awnings are designed for high winds, heavy rain and year-round use. Deponti structures and bioclimatic systems are engineered to withstand British weather conditions with minimal maintenance.

5. Can I use a louvered roof pergola in winter?
Yes. Louvered roof (bioclimatic) pergolas offer excellent rain protection, integrated drainage and optional heating and lighting, making them comfortable and usable throughout the winter months.

6. Do you install awnings on all types of walls?
In most cases yes. We install awnings on brick, block, modern cavity walls and reinforced frames. During your survey, we check suitability and recommend the safest, strongest fixing method.

7. What areas near Cambridgeshire do you cover?
We also cover Peterborough, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire, providing full installation for homes, schools and commercial sites.

8. Can I add sliding glass doors to my veranda or pergola?
Yes. Sliding glass doors are a popular upgrade, turning your structure into a garden room with protection from wind, rain and cooler temperatures while keeping the space bright.

9. Do you install groundworks for pergolas and verandas?
Yes. We handle everything including concrete pads, footings, drainage and preparation, making installation smooth, safe and compliant with manufacturer requirements.

10. How long is the warranty on your products?
Warranties vary by product:
• Verandas: 5–10 years
• Awnings: 2–5 years
• Pergolas: 5–10 years
All installations are covered by our workmanship guarantee.

11. Can you install outdoor blinds or screens?
Yes. We offer external blinds, zip screens and shading solutions that integrate perfectly with verandas and pergolas, providing privacy, wind resistance and sun control.

12. Do you provide products for schools in Cambridgeshire?
Yes. We install school canopies, Qube shelters, walkway covers and outdoor learning areas across Cambridgeshire for nurseries, primaries, secondaries, SEN schools and colleges.

13. Are verandas good for south-facing gardens?
Yes. They reduce glare, cool indoor rooms and provide sheltered shade. Optional tinted or solar-control roofing helps manage strong sunlight on south-facing patios and doors.

14. Can a pergola be attached to my house?
Most aluminium pergolas are freestanding, but some models can be wall-mounted. We advise on the best option based on your home’s structure and layout.

15. Do I need planning permission for a veranda or pergola?
Most installations fall under permitted development, meaning no planning permission is required. However, we’ll confirm this during your survey and assist if permission is needed.

16. Do you install products for commercial sites?
Yes. We install structures for cafés, pubs, restaurants, retail parks, business parks and public spaces in Cambridgeshire, offering durable, low-maintenance commercial-grade solutions.

17. How do I choose between a veranda and a pergola?
A veranda gives fixed, permanent roof shelter.
A pergola (louvered or retractable) offers adjustable light, ventilation and weather control.
We help you choose based on budget, usage and design preference.

18. Can awnings be used in windy conditions?
Our awnings include built-in wind sensors that automatically retract the system in strong winds to prevent damage, making them safe and practical for UK weather.

19. How long do aluminium structures last?
Aluminium verandas and pergolas can last 20–30 years with minimal upkeep. They’re rust-proof, durable and built to withstand long-term weather exposure.

20. Do you offer customised colours and accessories?
Yes. Choose from multiple frame colours, roof finishes, lighting, heating, fixed walls, blinds and sliding glass doors to create a completely personalised outdoor living space.
